Bob Goldstien

 

 

Bob has worked with strong management teams, financial sponsors and corporate partners to help companies achieve their financial and strategic goals for over 15 years. Over that time, Bob has assisted with the raising of capital and organized and formed funds and investment partnerships as a co-investor. Additionally, he has been an active lead investor in private equity and real estate transactions for over 10 years.

Bob has worked on a wide variety of securities offerings, acquisitions and related business transactions and general corporate counsel support to clients. Through this experience, Bob has been invited to serve on a number of boards of directors and advisory boards. He was selected as one of the 40 Attorneys Under 40 in Illinois to Watch and is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), and is a member of both the Economic Club of Chicago and The Standard Club.

Bob is a recognized transactional attorney and an authority on the legal and strategic aspects of business with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures, strategic alliances and other types of growth strategies. Coupled with his Big 4 CPA background (KPMG), he brings an additional level of business acumen and judgment to his clients.

Bob is a graduate of Indiana University and Chicago-Kent College of Law and is currently an Adjunct Professor at The John Marshall Law School.

Mr. Klein began his career with Airoom in 1983, served as Vice President from 1984 to  2000, and has been President and CEO of the AIROOM Companies since 2000.  During his tenure as Vice President he held various responsibilities including the sales and marketing functions, the architectural design functions, the purchasing and field production functions, and senior management functions. Airoom projects 75 million in sales in 2006 and is the platform company for the design build remodeling industry.  In 1990 Mr. Klein co-founded Lamb Financial Corp. (LFC), a retail mortgage broker and is its President & CEO. He was responsible for establishing national lender relations, hiring loan officers and originating loan applications. LFC has successfully closed approximately 1 billion dollars in residential mortgages to date.  Mr. Klein founded START Systems LLC, a software development company, in 2001 and is its President. He was responsible for the development of proprietary software which integrated systems to assure resources and timing for residential remodeling projects that is both scalable and replicable. In 2003, Mr. Klein founded Builders Escrow and Title Agency (BETA).

In 2004, Mr. Klein led the sale of the majority interest in the Airoom Companies to a middle market private equity group; and will remain on as advisor to the business.

Mr. Klein has been a long time active leader both in the community and in the industry.  He is a Board Member of Bridgeview Bank and Trust.  Mr. Klein is on the Executive Advisory Council of Silver Oak Services Partners, a 300 million private equity fund. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Children’s Memorial Hospital.  And is a member of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau (BBB).  Mr. Klein founded the AIROOM Charitable Foundation in 2003 and is its President.   

He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). And member of the YPO National Construction Roundtable.  He is a founding member of National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI) Chicago Chapter. He is a Member of National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  He is also a member of the Illinois Association of Mortgage Bankers (IAMB).

Mr. Klein has been a long time consultant for The Great Escape, the leading regional retailer of pools, spas, and billiards and patio furniture with 18 locations and sales of approximately 70 million.  

Mr. Klein is a continuing consultant for Nimlok Company, which is a leading display company with worldwide locations, transforming them from a manufacturing company to a vertically integrated sales, marketing and manufacturing company.  Sales are approximately 80 million.

Mr. Klein has consulted for Medcor, Inc., an on-line medical triage company, on sales strategy.  Sales are approximately 35 million.

Mr. Klein was listed in Crain’s 2004 and 2005 Who’s Who in Chicago Business and has been featured in numerous national publications as a leading industry expert, including a September 2005 article in Forbes Magazine.

Mr. Klein is a licensed real estate salesperson and has had many successful transactions of commercial and residential real estate and development through several different personal and joint ventures.   

Mr. Klein holds a Bachelors of Science in Marketing and Management from Indiana University School of Business.
